IFP Phoenix holds Filmmaker Challenges each year that are designed to provide an opportunity
for Arizona Filmmakers to increase their skills and abilities.

CHALLENGE BASICS

  • Gather your team and sign up for the challenge. Whoever signs up for the challenge is the de facto team leader. Your team leader does not have to be the director or producer.

  • Attend the kickoff either virtually or in person (availability varies - check the details of the current challenge). At the kickoff, you’ll get the guidelines for that challenge and then start creating!

  • Over the next 48 hours (Beat the Clock Challenge) -or- 10 days (240 to Glory Challenge), you and your team will create a short film (5-6 minutes or less, depending on the challenge).

  • All films submitted will be screened on the big screen - even those submitted AFTER the deadline. Only films submitted on time are eligible for competition. Late films still must be turned in before the films are sent to the theater.

  • Do you live in Arizona, but outside of Phoenix? We’d still love to have you - join us virtually!

IFP BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE!

Get your team ready for 48 hours of filmmaking mayhem. Write, produce, and edit your film in 2 days using parameters given out at kickoff. Held annually every summer. Check back in 2025 for info on the next IFP Beat the Clock Challenge!
