While we’re staying home to help flatten the curve, let’s make sure we still have the “chops” when this is all over! Every week on Monday we will give you a challenge to complete or tryout and we can feature them in a playlist on youtube.
You don’t need the best equipment to complete these challenges, use what you have! (iPhone to RED cameras, flashlights to light kits, use what you have!) On that note, we’re asking you only to film subjects you have access to at home. That can be anyone you live with, yourself, or even still life subjects!
This week, it should be even easier to do without other guest stars…because we’re tackling animation! Drawing, stop motion, after effects key framing, and whatever else! Get out the paper and pencils, your old action figure or dolls, adobe suite, etc and send us a story from the past week that made you laugh! Can you tell us what was funny as animated intro credits to a film or trailer? How about re-enacting it with Robot Chicken style hilarity? Or do you want to tell us about it in a moving comic strip that may bring a tear to our eye? Be creative!
Once you finish your video, you can upload it to YouTube and let us know the link and we’ll put it in our YouTube playlist. OR, share the video file with david@ifpphx.org via Google Drive and we’ll upload it to our YouTube and add it to the playlist.
This is a fun challenge just meant to help get some of those creative juices flowing. Please continue to follow social distancing rules. Your health is the utmost of importance, obvi.
We’ll ask some of our favorite submissions how they did it and give them some exposure too! Have fun shooting, friends.
