You spoke and we listened, no live music this year, just a light playlist in the background! Come celebrate film in Arizona and meet some other fellow filmmakers.
When: Saturday, April 6th from 6:30pm to Midnight
Where: The Phoenix Film Festival Party Pavilion (tent next to the theatre)

Held on Saturday and Sunday and hosted by past film festival alumni, local filmmakers, and local media members, the seminars are a great way to gain knowledge and insight directly from filmmakers who have films playing in this year’s film festival. With topics covering subjects like screenwriting, directing, acting, diversity, docs, AZ films, and short filmmaking, there is surely something for everyone!

Kids’ Day
IFP Phoenix helps put together Kids’ Day at the festival! Kids’ Day is a FREE event on Saturday, April 6th from 9am to 2pm. It’s a great way for children of all ages to come out and experience the festival. They can select from a series of hands-on activity stations focusing on different aspects of film production and geared to various age and ability levels.
From coloring black line reproductions of the festival poster for the youngest to acting and creating their own short films for the oldest, kids will love this action-packed morning. Everyone will get a kick out of the soundtrack station, where they create a musical soundtrack to a fun film, and the screenwriting station, where they write a script “Mad Lib” style.
Stations are age-appropriate and run the full gamut of the filmmaking process.
