Filmmaker Fusion: We’ll Sleep When We’re Dead – 48 Hour Film Challenge Tips

June 9, 2018 0 Comments Filmmaker Fusion, Up Next by Aaron Kes

Wednesday, June 20nd, 2018 from 7pm- 9pm

In honor of Arizona’s longest running film challenge coming up this month, Filmmaker Fusion will be focusing on how to navigate the gauntlet of 48 hour contests!

Even if you’re not participating in this challenge, information on working with a compressed schedule is invaluable to filmmakers of all kinds!

Some topics we will cover include:

– How to write for an easy shoot
– Location scouting tips
– Communicating with cast and crew

*Note: There are only a few spots left in the film challenge! Register ASAP!*

Nearly every indie filmmaker worth their salt has done a 48-hour contest in their career. Discovering the unique set challenges that come with the territory is one of the most rewarding things you can do as a filmmaker.

Bring your questions! Size up your competition! Need to round out your team? Looking to join one? This event is a great opportunity for you to meet other filmmakers, so make sure to bring your business cards! Our panelists are all battle-hardened filmmakers who have won a slew of awards for various 48 Hour Challenges.

Confirmed Panelists:

Luke Hansen – Winner of last year’s massive A3F Challenge
lukehansenmedia.com

Wm Hayden Edgmon – Two-time Best Director award winner

Jeff Fields – Director of 2017’s winner, “Adam’s Mask”

David A Miller – IFP Film Challenge Director

Although you DO NOT need to be an IFP Member to attend any Filmmaker Fusion events, if you are an IFP Member, bring your IFP Membership card for a chance to win a special prize!
