Registration is open for the 2015 Break Out Film Challenge!

July 22, 2015 0 Comments Filmmaker Challenges, Up Next by Aaron Kes

This challenge is designed to get Arizona filmmakers out into the larger community and the prize is FREE submissions to film festivals around the country.  Last year we gave out nearly 20 free submissions- it’s a great opportunity.

What is it?

A longer challenge designed to showcase our teams’ talent. You will submit two lines of dialogue as a team. At kickoff, you will receive a mystery prop, and two line choices from other teams’ submissions. Using the prop and one of the lines, you and your team then have about a month to write, shoot, edit, and generally go crazy with filmmaking!

What do you submit?

Each team will submit a film, no longer than 6 minutes (including credits), created using the line and prop provided at the kick off. Teams may also submit a trailer and a poster for additional prizes. NOTE – Because of the longer run time allowed for films on this challenge, we are capping the team limit at 20 total teams. Register now!

Why register?

  • This challenge is all about getting your film into the world! You are competing for free film festival submissions! Last year, we gave out free film festival submissions to over 20 festivals! Including one in Paris!!
